IT Support Specialist
Everlab is pioneering the next era of healthcare proactive, personalised, and, most importantly, accessible to all.
We usually respond within a week
About the role:
As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for keeping Everlab’s day-to-day technology running smoothly. You’ll be the first point of contact for IT support across the business, ensuring our team can work efficiently, securely, and without unnecessary friction. You’ll play a critical role in supporting onboarding/offboarding, device and account management, troubleshooting, and improving the systems and processes that underpin how we operate.
In addition to BAU support, you will also be part of Everlab’s ongoing IT and operational projects as we scale - helping implement improvements across tooling, security, and systems in a fast-growing healthcare company.
This is a full-time role, based in our Melbourne office. It’s ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys helping others, and takes pride in making things work reliably behind the scenes.
Responsibilities and scope:
Help desk and BAU support: Be the first point of contact for IT support requests across the business. Troubleshoot issues across laptops, devices, SaaS tools, and networks, ensuring timely resolution and a great team experience.
Onboarding and offboarding: Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding for new starters and departing team members, including laptop setup, access provisioning, permissions, and security requirements.
Device and asset management: Maintain and manage laptops, peripherals, and IT inventory. Track assets, coordinate repairs/replacements, and ensure devices are deployed securely and consistently.
Account and access administration: Manage user accounts, licences, and access across our core systems (e.g. Google Workspace, Slack, VPN, password management tools). Ensure access is appropriate, secure, and aligned with least-privilege principles.
Projects and improvements: Be part of ongoing IT and operational projects to support Everlab’s rapid growth — including improvements across tooling, security, onboarding, and IT workflows.
Systems and process improvement: Identify recurring issues and improve IT workflows through better documentation, standardisation, automation, and scalable processes as Everlab grows.
Security and operational hygiene: Support BAU security practices such as MFA enforcement, patching, backups, device compliance, and incident response coordination (in partnership with external vendors as needed).
Vendor coordination: Work with external IT providers, managed services, and hardware vendors to ensure smooth delivery of services, escalations, and improvements.
What we are looking for:
Availability: Full-time, based in our Melbourne office.
Experienced and hands-on: 2+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a similar BAU-focused role. Experience supporting a growing team is a plus.
Strong technical foundations: You’re confident troubleshooting common issues across Mac devices, networking basics (Wi-Fi/VPN), printers/peripherals, and SaaS applications.
Tech-savvy and process-minded: You’re comfortable working across modern IT tooling and admin consoles (e.g. Google Workspace, Slack). Experience with MDM tools (JumpCloud and Intune) and ticketing systems is a plus.
Service mindset with great communication: You enjoy helping non-technical teammates and can explain technical issues clearly, calmly, and without jargon. You care about delivering a high-quality support experience.
Detail-oriented with a big-picture mindset: You pay attention to the details (security, permissions, documentation) while also understanding how IT enables the business to scale.
Ownership mindset with strong autonomy: You are motivated by what’s best for Everlab long term, and you’re confident in making sound decisions independently. You thrive in an autonomous environment, taking full responsibility for outcomes while being proactive in learning and improving. Whether it’s resolving an urgent support issue, improving onboarding, or tightening device security, you understand that excellence means caring about the details, acting with initiative, and always raising the bar.
Nice to have:
Healthcare or startup experience: You have experience working in healthcare, high-growth startups, or investor-backed companies, and you’re comfortable supporting teams that move quickly and need reliable systems without heavy process.
Working at Everlab:
Do work that matters: We’re building the future of preventive health. Use your skills to prevent disease, improve access to personalised care, and reduce pressure on the health system.
Work-life flexibility: Hybrid working with 2 to 3 days in the office, plus flexibility to manage life beyond the 9 to 5 when it matters.
Experience Everlab as a customer: Full access to the Everlab health program, provided after successfully passing probation.
Share in our success: Employee Share Option Plan included as part of your total remuneration. We grow together.
People you’ll love working with: A welcoming, mission-driven team of smart, thoughtful people doing meaningful work.
